Together
Music was never meant to be learned alone.
Group instruction is one of the most powerful tools in a musician’s development. Performing for peers builds a different kind of confidence than performing for your teacher. Watching someone two steps ahead of you prepares you for what’s coming. Watching someone two steps behind reminds you how far you’ve already come.
At River Music Studios, group classes are built on a culture of safety, encouragement, and genuine connection. We cheer each other on after every performance — every single one. We celebrate progress, not perfection. Growth, courage, joy, and the irreplaceable experience of sharing the journey with people who understand exactly what it takes.
Combined with private instruction, it’s the most accelerated, joyful, and balanced path forward. The private lesson goes deep. The group class makes it real.

Questions & Answers
How often do group classes meet?
All group classes meet once per week — consistent, focused, and easy to build into your routine. Your membership includes 4 classes per month. If you need to miss your session, you’re welcome to attend another class level that week as a makeup. Many students find it’s one of the most valuable sessions they take — seeing where they’re headed, or being reminded of how far they’ve already come.
What's the difference between Vocal Bootcamp and Broadway Bootcamp?
Vocal Bootcamp is Level I — open to all singers, all experience levels, ages 8 to 18. It builds the technical foundation: breath, posture, resonance, registration, and correct vocal production. Broadway Bootcamp is Level II–III for returning students ready to apply that foundation to repertoire, character, stage presence, and audition preparation. Vocal Bootcamp builds the voice. Broadway Bootcamp puts it on the stage.
Can I join a group class without taking private lessons?
Yes — group classes are available as a standalone membership starting at $129/mo. Many students combine private lessons and group classes for the most accelerated development, but it’s not required.
What if I miss a class?
No refunds for missed classes — but if you need to miss your session, you’re welcome to attend another class level that week as a makeup. A Level I student sitting in on Broadway Bootcamp sees where they’re headed. A Level II–III student revisiting Vocal Bootcamp reinforces their foundation. Life doesn’t have to interrupt your progress — and the cross-level experience often turns out to be the most memorable class of the month.
Are classes available online?
Yes — voice group classes are available online now. Piano group classes launching Fall 2026 will also offer online attendance. Join from anywhere in the world.
Can my child and I attend the same class?
Yes — adults are welcome to join Vocal Bootcamp alongside their younger students or dependents. Some families find this a wonderful way to share the experience and support each other’s growth.
When do Piano Lab and The Piano Workshop launch?
Both piano group classes launch Fall 2026. Join the waitlist now to be first to know about enrollment and schedules.
Are Utah scholarship programs accepted?
Yes — Utah Fits All, Harmony Education, and My Tech High are all accepted for group classes as well as private lessons. Heather is an approved provider and supplies documentation for fine arts credit.
